Piano parties are offered regularly throughout the year in students’ homes and other venues to enhance community playing and confidence. The UnmaniMusic studio has grown from 1 to 43 students in five years often from word-of-mouth.

Events led by Unmani include the successful liaison with local wind band Swingside in 2012 and 2013, which has seen beginner students have the opportunity of playing along in accompaniment style with a full band sound. Students have been part of the Rupanyup Dirtmusic Festival since it’s inception several years ago, offering their original compositions and improvs in their own concert. Others staged a concert as part of the Natimuk Arts Frinj Arts Festival ‘Play piano in 10 weeks’ project in October 2011 where a group of beginners with less than 10 weeks of lessons.
